Where can I find out about someones credit rating?

I need to find out my partners credit history- i don't think hes telling me everything I need to know before we buy a house together!

You can only find out about your own.....legally.
Reply:If you have ANY doubts at all about his credit record, DON'T buy a house with him. You'll be linked to him through the mortgage for a very long time. Find out first, if he's hiding nothing, he should have no problem showing you a credit report. If he has a problem with that, forget it. This is too important to mess about with.

Reply:well I think you need to sit and discuss it because otherwise if he isn't telling you the truth it will all come out when you apply for a mortgage, you will have to tell them every last little bit of debt you currently have and they will run a credit check for you.

Reply:You can't. He can provide it; you can ask if you are turned down on a joint application; otherwise it's a private document.

Reply:Simply make it a "must" and ask him for his credit report before you go off buying the house.
