Can one actually improve credit rating using a pre-paid, "rechargeable" credit card?

Do they actually report to the credit bureaus, as they claim? Any suggestions on which one to get? Are any of them available at Discount Department stores?

You cannot improve your credit with a prepaid, rechargeable credit card. It's not really a credit card, it's more like a gift card that is reloadable. You may want to consider a secured credit card that is based on the amount of money in your bank account.
Reply:pre-paid is not linked to your credit therefore it is not reported to the bureaus

only secured and non-secured credit cards are reported
