If you have a bad credit rating are you unable to rent property via an agency?

I know you have to pay an admin fee which includes any paper work and a credit check, so if you fail the check you dont get to rent the property. Isnt renting property more likley to be for people who cant get a mortgage due to circumstances like bad credit etc? Which would mean you wouldnt have many options.

If you have a bad credit rating are you unable to rent property via an agency?
Well it actually depends if the credit is really bad their is no way they will let you in? Try to clear out your credit or they woun"t let you in.
Reply:the answer is no

you can NOT rent an apt with bad credit ppl who own apts have been screwed so much that they want ppl who pay their bills and that is what a credit report does lets them know

1) can you afford it

if you have a huge truck payment and lots of CC's you can't afford 700 a month and still pay your bills

2) you pay your bills that means you will pay your rent on time and in full

find someplace that is not a huge apt complex

a duplex or a place owned locally don't usually do credit checks
Reply:if your above 350 government loans will work for you
Reply:It will hinder your ability to rent via an agency because people that use agencies put an emphasis on credit. But you might be able to find a person that believes that there are good people with bad credit scores. Due to unforeseen circumstances anyone can fall victim to bad credit scores. However, all you have to do is to establish some positive credit and after a while it may start to outweigh the bad.
Reply:Unfortunately, that's true. It's more a catch-22 situation.

Reply:I'm affraid yes, or otherwise your interest will be like sky (and above!) high
Reply:Often bad credit has trouble renting, many renters have good credit but insufficient income or down payment to get a mortgage.

If you have bad credit , look through the rental classifieds for listings from independant landlords.

Not as many of them do credit checks , make sure to offer them your employment references to move away from a credit check.
