Reply:Start off with something like a target credit card. Make purchases but pay off your balance at the end of every month. This is called revolving credit. Once you show that you're responsible with credit you will start getting applications for more credit cards.

But unless you can show that you earn lots of money, you will not be given excessive credit unless you're a cop, or a firefighter. For some reason, govt employees always have high credit.

Reply:The only way to get a high credit rating is to get lots of credit

It sounds silly but the more credit you have the more they know about you on their systems and the more likely it is that they'll give you more credit.

So long as you're a good payer that is.
Reply:Try and get some credit but only to build your credit history. For instance, get a credit card and use it for an expense even if it's only for expenses of £5 per month. Ensure you make your payments on time - set up a direct debit. Also, make sure you're registerd on the electoral roll. No one can fast track your credit rating so pay no one to do it regardless of what they claim.
