How will my late payments on my car affect my co-signers credit rating?

$22,000 loan, late on the last 3 payments

How will my late payments on my car affect my co-signers credit rating?
On a Co-signed loan both parties are equally responsible. So the positive history will show on both, but so will any negative history.

As to the loan, the first negative mark is 30 days late. So until you are 30 days late it will not appear on your(or your co-signers) credit report. Once you hit 31 days late, it will appear on both reports.
Reply:As OC1999 said if it's under 30 days, it will not effect the credit report. If you made 12 payments on the loan and you're current, call and ask if you can get a 2 month deferment which will put the account ahead 60 days. Just tell them you need it due to medical bills not covered by your insurance.
Reply:Whatever happens to the payments, will go to both credit history. The co-signers are responsible as you are.
