First ask if you WANT to close them. Accounts, even though they are closed, still show a credit history. If you try to speed along the removal of them you could possibly damage your credit.

Reply:You really need to be speaking with the creditor you are mentioning. They put that on your report and they can remove it. But it's a process and probably won't happen over night. Keep calling them and staying on top of it. Make sure you write down their names and direct line.
