I have heard of sites such as "freecreditreport.com" but that seemed like they were trying to sell me something. I just want to find out this information for free. Thanks in advance.

http://www.annualcreditreport.com is the only place you can get a free credit report however it does not include a fico which you do have to pay for or you can visit http://creditwisdom.blogspot.com/2006/09... and follow the link to the fico score estimator.
