Acc not in overdraft, dont have any joint loans.
Thanks.
If I have a joint bank acc with somone does that affect my credit rating?
Having a joint account affects your credit score if you or the person sharing the account with you
- go into the overdraft
- go over the overdraft limit
- bounce a cheque
- get any bank charges
When applying for loans/credit most applications ask about any joint accounts/loans etc, you will have to declare you have a joint account %26amp; give the name %26amp; address of that person you are sharing with, it doesn't usually go against you if your credit score is clean.
Reply:yes it does
if you bounce a check on that account or it gets closed due to too many over drafts it will be on your rating
Reply:(england)no as long as you dont take any overdrafts or loans with that person basically any borrowing facilities against that account.be careful it's someone you trust coz if you fall out and stop speaking they could clear the account and you wouldnt be able to legally do any thing to get the money back.xx
Reply:Not unless the joint bank account has had previous problems, like you did not make the payments and they sent notices of overspending to you.
